OMG! Have you checked out the January to June 2022 Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration Brochure from Stampin’ Up? It went live on January 4 and it has so many great products. I couldn’t wait until January 4 and have already played with some of the products that I received in my preorder. I needed to create a couple of cards for a swap – one featuring a Sale-a-bration item and the other an item from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalog. I decided to start with the Rainbow of Happiness bundle from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalog.

The Rainbow of Happiness bundle features the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and Brilliant Rainbow dies. Initially I was going to create a traditional rainbow but then thought to myself, “Why?” I decided to create a thank you card for the people that have donated to my fundraiser for the Ultimate Hike. Therefore, an all green rainbow seemed fitting. I chose Shaded Spruce, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz to create the rainbow. Since I was creating multiples of the same card, I mounted the four stamps needed to create the rainbow on four plates for the Stamparatus. It can be such a lifesaver to get consistent stamped images. I went over the arcs with Wink of Stella to give them a little shine! I stamped the “thank you” sentiment in Gorgeous Grape. I then used the Blending Brush with Balmy Blue to create the background. Next I cut out the clouds from Basic White cardstock using dies from the Brilliant Rainbow dies in the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Finally I mounted the card front (4″ x 5 1/4″) on an A2 Gorgeous Grape card base (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″). I like how it turned out and hope the recipients like it as I do.

Next it was time to turn my attention to Sale-a-bration products. Since I was already in a rainbow mood, the Sunshine & Rainbows 6×6 Designer Series Paper caught my eye. I wanted to show off the different papers included in the stack so I selected 5 different papers. I cut them in 4″ x 1″ strips and mounted them on an A2 Coastal Cabana card base. I then selected a sentiment from the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and stamped it in Coastal Cabana ink on Basic White cardstock. Finally I used the Double Oval punch to punch out the sentiment and a base of Coastal Cabana. I mounted the smooth oval on the scalloped oval and then popped it up on the card front with a couple of dimensionals. I love showing off the papers. Now I just need to find someone to give it to (other than the swap recipients). Maybe a colleague at my school? I have a feeling every educator could use a little sunshine and rainbows in their lives.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these products in use. Did you catch my Facebook Live on January 3 when I did a walkthrough of the Mini Catalog? No? Head over to my page to catch the replay. And that’s not all. I will feature the Sale-a-bration brochure tonight (January 5) at 6pm.
