Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop! We are so glad you are here! You might have already stopped by Toni Campana’s post and know this month’s theme, but if you are just popping in this month’s theme is Casing With A Twist. Many of us look to the catalog for inspiration but it is frustrating when we can’t case the project exactly due to backorders or products not being available. So, what if we case a project from the catalog but use different products that are available?

I am not always great at looking at something and imagining it different. I remember looking at apartments and houses that still had furniture from previous residents and not being able to imagine my furniture and items in them. But, I gave this challenge a try. I started flipping through the Annual Catalog with the idea of using the Cute Halloween 6×6 Designer Series Paper. I finally spotted the card in the upper left corner of the above image. I liked that it was a simple card that used DSP and one of my new favorite stamping techniques – using the same color ink on cardstock. Plus, I had everything I needed – cardstock, ink, DSP, twine and plenty of stamp sets to choose from. I had to choose a stamp set and other products that were in ready supply from Stampin’ Up. After all, I would be defeating the purpose of this challenge if one of the products was already unavailable or on low inventory and became unavailable before you had a chance to try it. Check out the Product List at the end to see which products I chose for this project.

Thank you for letting me share my project. Please stop by and see Tracy Evans Langley’s post. I know it will be great!

I love that you used Halloween paper for a non-Halloween card. I always wonder if I don’t use it all how will I use it up. You know by the next year there will be something else to fall in love with. Great job.
